Although only about 5 km from Sapa town, and adjacent to Cat Cat – a popular tourist destination of Sapa, the Sin Chai village does not have many tourists to visit. Therefore, Sin Chai still preserves the pristine beauty of the mountain landscape with the unique character of the H’Mong people. It must be on your list of the top things to do in Sapa, right?

The Sin Chai is located at the foot of Fansipan mountain. The house stretch in the valley surrounded by mountains, monorail roads. You must pass through the Cat Cat village to get to this town of Sapa. About 1,600 Hmong Black people here do cultivation and livestock for the living.

Just like the villages in Sapa and other upland areas in the Northwest, rainfall-dependent rained cultivation. The cultivation of rice and maize on terraced fields has only one season in mid-April. Or it may happen sooner or later depending on the summer thunderstorms.

Then, to continue your journey, you have to hide a bike or motorbike on the road just large enough a motorcycle to pass through. Along the way through to the end of the village, you might meet the wood roofs house, cloth hanging in front of the house, the tools are not yet cleaned up. And that journey will bring a sense of peace, a little warm-hearted moment in a poor village of Sapa.

Coc San

It is quite hard to get in Coc San due to the road filled with rocks. The beauty of Coc San is completely natural and wild.  From the highway, a small road of more than 1 km leads to Coc San. The two sides of the road are small fields and villages of local people. When you are about 300 – 400 m away from Coc San, you can hear the murmuring stream. Coc San is a system of waterfalls and caves of different size, so people can call this is Coc San or Coc San waterfall.

Coc San is located between two low hills. The canyon forms an average slope, where waterfalls range from low to high like stairs. The caves in Coc San are distributed in many places, and there is something very special about this place is that it is almost bent by a waterfall. Coc San landscape is harmonious and comprehensive with nature. Visit here, you will feel the miraculous excitement from the waterfalls, stone tissue and caves. Coc San has rocky terraces with many small rocks of varying size with a spike. Particularly there are many flat and wide slides rocks that it is possible for a few dozen people to sit on. The climate in Coc San is so fresh and cool.

Due to the fact that it is hard to get in the cave, the number of tourist to Coc San is not high, it is only known within Lao Cai town and some neighboring areas. Moreover, although Coc San has many caves, most of them have not been discovered yet. Thanks to that, you can find your peaceful and wonderful time here. It can be said that the beauty of Coc San is completely natural nature without the impact of hand and the human mind to turn it into a real tourist.
